A U.S. Air Force B-52H Stratofortress flies over the Persian Gulf alongside Qatar Emiri Air Force Mirage 2000 fighters and U.S. Air Force F-35A Lightning IIs on May 21, 2019. The formation flight was conducted as part of a Bomber Task Force deployment to U.S. Central Command’s area of responsibility, aimed at strengthening military-to-military partnerships and demonstrating regional presence. The mission launched from Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar.
